Fire Safety for Babies and Toddlers
Urging parents and caregivers to prepare for children by maintaining working smoke alarms, safely storing lighters and matches out of children's reach and sight, and practicing a fire escape plan with small children.
Why Homes Need Fire Sprinklers
Including fire sprinklers in your new or existing home is a great idea that can save your family members’ lives. But it does raise many questions. This website is designed to answer your questions and simplify the process. There is also information about retrofitting your existing home.
Fire Extinguishers
A portable fire extinguisher can save lives and property by putting out a small fire or containing it until the fire department arrives; but portable extinguishers have limitations. Because fire grows and spreads so rapidly, the number one priority for residents is to get out safely.
